2022-2023 DESCRIPTION OF FEES AND FINANCIAL POLICIES

DORADUS FC annual youth soccer travel program fees are listed below.   Travel soccer fees consist of both club fees and team fees.  Player team fees may vary by team. The differences in team fees for travel teams are primarily attributed to team level participation, league fees, coaching fees, additional weekly training, and additional programming.   

Club fees are a small fee charged to players for club operations, local league registrations, State registration, club administrations and overall club program management.  These fees allow teams to be organized, sanctioned, managed, and maintained in a club environment.

Cub Fee:  $550 per seasonal year (August 1 thru June 15th).  [$225 applied to Fall 2022 season, $225 applied to spring 2023 season].

Club fees covers:   Local League fees, VYSA State Fee, MSYSA State Fee.  Club operations that include (Club Administration, Club website, Field permits, referees, Contractors, Legal costs, Tax preparation, Club advertisement, Club program costs etc. :-)

Club fees do not cover:   Regional League Fees (EDP/NPL/USYS NL  P.R.O), US Club Soccer registration, State Cup fees, and team coaching fees, team operations, tournaments, uniforms, and other team operations costs.

SCHOLARSHIPS:   There are NO scholarships for Club Fees!!

Club fees are paid through the Club’s main online registration system at the registration “INVITE” and set in 3 installments.  The initial registration down payment is $150.  The remaining fees are at 2 increments.   Payment can be made by Cash/Check or Debit/credit.  The first payment must be turned in 48 hours after the registration invite is accepted and completed. 

Virginia Youth Soccer Association (VYSA) and Maryland State Youth Soccer Association (MSYSA) policy - players must fulfill their financial obligations in full to the club as part of their registration with the club.  Club fees are collected through the online registration system, and can be paid in full upon the invite acceptance, or in installment payments (see chart below).

Please note that registration Club fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.

Team Fees Schedule:   Team fees are set by the Club’s Technical Director and Team’s Head Coach of the team based on the Club’s team’s program.  Each team fee in the club can vary depending on the category of team programming set by the club.  The club’s team fee schedule is listed below.

Team Fees Covers:  Regional League Fees (EDP/NPL/USYS NL P.R.O), US Club Soccer registration, State Cup fees, team coaching fees, team operations, tournaments, uniforms, other team operations costs.

Team Fees do not cover:  Uniforms. (Uniforms are purchased separately through our Adidas Contract & Soccer.com club pass back program.  Each player will be assigned an account in the Doradus Soccer.com portal system.)

Note:   Team Fees are paid through Team Snap and organized by the team manager

Mid-Season Transfers or Additions:

Fees will be pro-rated based on the month that the player joins, minus the initial $150 then divided by the remaining monthly installments.

For the U7/8 Player Developmental Academy teams, there will be no Club Fee assessed.  However,  there will be a full team fee (Appx:$175- $550) per season which include both the club fee and team fee combined.  

Financial Assistance:

Doradus FC is proud to provide a need-based financial assistance program for families to offset fees associated with participating on a Doradus Futbol Club soccer team.  All applicants’ (PII) names and information is held in strict confidence by our administrator. To apply, please complete and submit our financial aid application, with the required documentation and $150 non-refundable deposit by check.  Notification of financial awards will come via email. Please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

Late Payments:

It is the player’s/family’s responsibility to remain current with the payments and maintain the membership in good standing. In the event that payments are not made within 30 days of the payment due date, the club will take the following actions:

31 days late: Club will notify the Director of Coaching, Coach and Manager of balance due and that member is not in good standing. Player will receive a warning that if payment is not made within 30 days, the Director of Coaching will be notified and appropriate actions taken by the Executive Director (suspension from games, suspension from practices and games, suspension from club, etc.)   

61 days late: Director of Coaching will discuss past due balances with the Executive Director and appropriate sanctions of player and family will take place until such time as player and family become a member in good standing. Member Player accounts with balances that are greater than 60 past due should expect that their participation in team and club activities will be suspended until such time as the balance due is paid in full.

91 days late:  All payments 90 days late are subject to legal actions for collections.  

Refund Policy and Releases:

Doradus Futbol Club is a full seasonal year commitment to the coach, your teammates and the club for which you accept a roster spot.  Players may ask to be released from their team according to the particular guidelines, rules and regulations of their team’s league and in accordance with VYSA, MSYSA or US Club Soccer Associations. This refund policy applies to players who voluntarily request a release from a team prior to the completion of the year (August 1 to July 31).

Doradus Futbol Club is a 501(C) 3 non-profit charitable organization youth program, and operate on a cash in, cash out basis, as such, we do not grant refunds. However, refunds would be considered under the following extenuating circumstances:

1.       Season ending injury

2.       Family relocation due to job or military assignment

3.       No releases will be processed for players with outstanding Club / Team fees per VYSA Guidelines.  All fees must be paid prior to any release or processed for legal collections.

Any other requests for refund will be considered by the President of the club and/or Executive Director on a case-by-case basis and will only be granted under exceptional circumstances and provided the player is in good standing.

Player Releases Due to Injury

If a player is injured and cannot participate with his/her team, a Doctor’s note pertaining to this injury must be submitted to the President and/or Executive Director within five (5) days after the injury. After executive review, if merited, payments may be suspended until player is cleared (with Doctor’s note) to return to play. Fees and payments will continue to accrue for all players not incompliance with this policy regardless of injury.
